Jump on our party train from London to celebrate Edinburgh’s Hogmanay with Stoke Travel.
Ring in the New Year Stoke/Scottish style, and if that means wearing a kilt, eating haggis, drinking your bodyweight in booze, and having epic New Year pashes with strangers, then so be it. Hogmanay is one of the world’s great parties, and the best New Year’s Eve street party, filled with live performances, and music across four street party stages.
Hogmanay is Scottish for the last day of the year, and that’s what we’re here to celebrate. Join us in the streets as we sing Auld Lang Syne and gift each other lumps of coal. Doesn’t sound like fun? Then you need to know more about how the Scots love to party!
Party with us on the completely private Stoke Travel Express train from London to Edinburgh, continue the night at our exclusive pre-party venue, Hogmanay street festival and finally Stoke’s after party. This package includes entry tickets to the world’s most famous Hogmanay street party festival, including the magnificent midnight moment with fireworks and music, are included as we say goodbye to 2023 and welcome in 2024, before we load up the return train trip from Edinburgh to London.
What to do during Hogmanay in Edinburgh?
End and start the year right by getting into live music and DJs at the four street party stages and eight large screens that line the streets. Enjoy four fireworks displays on the hour from 9pm with the absolutely Instagram-worthy Edinburgh Castle stands in the background.
On top of that, immerse yourself in the traditions, stumble around the world famous architecture, drink and be merry just like ringing in the New Year in Scotland warrants. Later, link hands (and maybe lips) with your new besties from Stoke, Scotland and beyond, before launching into a raucous rendition of Auld Lang Syne, THE New Year’s Eve song that was created specifically for this event. Hogmanay 2024 Events
Every year international and world-famous Scottish acts play Hogmanay. Stoke Travel hits up the Street Party, which is filled with music and performances, the best party people, and this year complimentary Johnnie Walker whisky. Performers for 2024 TBA.
The trip to Hogmanay with Stoke Travel
Stoke Travel has commandeered an entire British Rail train to whisk us from London to Edinburgh. This is the place to pre-party, meet your fellow New Year’s Eve partiers, play drinking games, and generally act as if we own the train, (which we do!.. Well for the two days). On the way home we’ll be taking the same train, so you can safely store a change of comfort clothes for the New Year’s Day trip back so your 2024 begins as comfortably as possible. Hilly Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city, it has a medieval Old Town and an elegant Georgian New Town, with an abundance of gardens and neoclassical buildings. It’s home to Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano in Holyrood Park which has sweeping views of Edinburgh and beyond from its peak. Edinburgh Castle looms over the city from its hilltop, it is home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, traditionally used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. But beyond it’s beauty, history and culture, Edinburgh is a cosmopolitan city with fine dining and drinking establishments galore!

Left it til last minute to book New Years so Stoke’s Hogmanay trip was one of my friends only options. This ended up being the best NYE of my life, we had absolutely no expectations, the entire 24hrs was a whirlwind of drinking and partying on the train, in the pubs and in the street. 10/10
