    Van Surfari Spain & France

Ever wanted to cruise through Spain and France catching the best waves? Nows your chance.

There’s no better way to experience the coastal paradise of Spain and France than in a surf van. We can dip in and out of the many coves, exploring long beaches, checking out surf reefs from clifftops and discovering parts of this wonderful coastline and countryside that are only accessible with your own vehicle – all the while chasing the best waves and surfing conditions every day, depending on the swell and tailored to your surfing level.

Includes dorm-style accommodation at the San Sebastian Surf Camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner daily (prepared by our in-house chefs), surf lessons (board and wetsuit hire included) with experienced guides who know exactly where to go, plus all of your transport, an awesome Stoke Crew and an unforgettable experience!

WE’RE GOIN’ ON A VAN SURFARI in Spain and France

Have you ever heard that song Surfing Surfari? It was by the Beatles, or the Beach Boys, or some other group of fossils, not sure, but it had a real good message… “Let’s go surfin’ now, everybody’s learnin’ how, come on a surfari with me.” Think about the wonders of a surf trip, combined with the adventure of a safari. Travelling up and down the coast hunting WAVES! Well, we put one together: the Stoke Travel Van Surfari. Well, as put together as an off-the-cuff surf trip can possibly be.

HOW DOES IT WORK The Basque Surfing Safari work?

Let us explain. We have this bus, and this big stretch of surfing coast spanning Spain and France, so what we’re going to do is cruise up and down the coast looking for waves on our Van Surfari. At the end of every day we’ll retreat to our Surf House, grab a beer, chill out and cook dinner. We’ll drink some beers and trade stories. We’ll decide whether we want to go and party, or not, and once the night is done, whichever we chose to do we know we’ll be waking up and cruising the coast looking for more waves. And in the morning we’re going to head off, taking in the best towns, beaches, tourist attractions and parties this part of the world has to offer. Basically we’ll be chasing the waves and the biggest kicks. Pretty cool huh!?

It’s a simple, yet rad concept. What better way to experience these must-do locations than on a surfboard!? Y’all know we just adore tourism, and site seeing rules, but there ain’t nothing finer than whiling away the hours, doing not so much, parked on a beautiful European beach.

WHERE WE GO, surfing the spanish & french coastline…

The Stoke Travel Van Surfari heads to the best breaks of the day along the French and Spanish coast: San Sebastian, St Jean de Luz, Hendaye, Bayonne (party only), Biarritz, Anglet, Hossegor, Seignosse, Zarautz and Zumaia.

    A DAY ON VAN SURFARI

Just like a normal safari, the day’s plan is never set in stone. We’ll be starting bright and early to eat a home-cooked breakfast, and then we pack the van and hit the road in search of the best waves and the biggest kicks of the day! Regardless of how it looks, your days will be filled with delicious food, incredible scenery, world-class waves, and tons of booze.
