Stoke Afloat Croatia Cruise

Get Stoked on the craziest cruise to hit the high seas!

We depart from Split in Croatia and hopalong the most beautiful islands in between until we reach Dubrovnik. There we’ll fulfill all of our Croatian fantasies, During the day we’ll be swimming in crystal clear lagoons, cliff jumping from terror inducing heights, and exploring old fortresses, and by night, we’ll hit up the best bars and clubs, including Carpe Diem, DEEP, and Croatia’s biggest club Revelin, before turning around and doing it all over again, returning with blurred memories and perfect tans.

We’ll sleep on a gorgeous ship fully facilitated for fulfilling your sailing fantasies: toilets and showers, onboard chef and fully stocked bar. And this wouldn’t be Stoke Travel if  we didn’t make sure you had an alcoholic beverage in your hand at your command. For just €10 per day you can drink all the beer and sangria that your heart desires.

But where will we go and what will we do?

From ancient walled cities to the highest coastal mountain range in the Mediterranean. Historic islands and raging party ports. Nightclubs and snorkeling. Sunbaking on the deck or swan diving into the ocean. If it is fun and if it is near water we’ll be doing it.

Who’s onboard?

Don’t worry, the Stoke Crew aren’t going to be the ones sailing the ship, the family that owns and operates the boat will be in charge of that, with their generations of experience sailing these waters. We’ll have our Stoke Travel guide on board inventing historical facts, encouraging binge drinking and convincing cute members of the opposite sex to make out with you. The average number of wenches and scurvy dogs onboard is about 24. Considering that they’ve booked with Stoke Travel you can be assured that they’re going to be just about the funnest, loosest canons getting around Europe this summer.

Tell me more about the boat

Our boats are traditional family owned and operated Croatian sailing vessels and no two are the same. The deck is designed for lying prostrate and praying to the sun gods (and private to – all the better for frying those eggs or giving the impossible-to-tan man’s upper thighs a workout), with the all-important designated shady areas for Scotsmen, albinos and those wanting to swill a beer and trade tales of the high seas.

Lot’s of stuff to do…

1

Day 1: MakarskaIn and around Makarska

Welcome aboard! Before the first voyage, you will get a welcome drink and a speech about the crew, ship rules and a general rundown of itinerary. We leave Split and head to Makarska around mid-day, stopping in some beautiful bays to swim. This night is reserved for partying (what else?) in the famous Cave bar.

2

Day 2: National Park Mljet

Early departure to one of the seven National parks in Croatia, the island of Mljet, with a swim stop along the way. We’ll take an afternoon stroll along the lakes on the island, plus we can go kayaking or swimming in a salt water lake. Tonight we’ll have dinner on board.

3

Day 3: Dubrovnik Pearl of the AdriaticIn and around Dubrovnik

Arrive in Dubrovnik around lunch time, so that you have all day to explore old town and jump from famous the cliffs outside of the old city walls. The afternoon is your own, walk around the old town city walls or take a Game of Thrones tour. and then go on to what is famed as one of the best disco bars in Croatia, the Culture Club, Revelin, situated in a fortress in the walls of old town.

4

Day 4: Korcula

Well arrive in Korcula harbour around 3pm, giving us enough time to visit the disputed house of Marco Polo and explore old town or chill out on ships sun deck before heading to Bokar wine bar and taste local Croatian wines and have some cheese/meat/bread nibbles. To start the party, we’ll head to Deja Vu, an outdoor bar run by “Crazy Niki,” before continuing on to Dos Locos, where you can show off your hidden talents on the stripper poles.

5

Day 5: Hvar

We arrive in Hvar for lunchtime, but its impossible to go to harbour till about 19:00. The boat will be anchored offshore at a relaxing swim location, but we will take a taxi boat into town and head up to the “Spanjola” fortress for a beautiful view before heading down for some beach time or seaside cocktails. Later that night, we’ll head over to SEVEN bar for welcome shots and a fire show, getting warmed up for the all night party at Carpe Diem, the famed techno club based on the island just in front of the harbour.

6

Day 6: Omiš

We’ll arrive early afternoon, offering you ample time for exploration or adventuring. If you’re up for it, the options are endless – ziplining across 8 cables up to 150m up, rafting down the river Cetina, kayaking through the canyon, the list goes on. That evening, we’ll grab some food from the supermarket and hike up to the old fortress for a sunset picnic. Rest up for the big night ahead in Split with a few casual cocktails on a rooftop bar before heading to bed.

7

Day 7: SplitIn and around Split

It’s our last night on board in Split, arriving around 3pm, where you can see the Diocletian Palace, which is 1700 years old, HNK Hajduk Split Stadium, the famous Marijan hill, from where you can see the whole town and island. Or you can enjoy your final day of unlimited booze onboard with your ship family. Up to you. For our final family dinner, we’ll go to a local restaurant with low prices and large portions. The party starts onboard (as usual) and moves to Charlie’s Backpacker’s Bar, before continuing to an open air club near the port.

8

Day 8: Split

It’s an early breakfast, and then unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye until our next grand voyage together. You’ll disembark at 9:00am.

Trip Type:

Croatia of course!

Three options: Split → Dubrovnik → Split, Split to Dubrovnik or Dubrovnik to Split. Our routes around the Adriatic depend on the weather and we go where the wind blows, but Croatia in July… we promise it’s nowhere too bad!

Meeting point:

The boat will be moored at: Lucka kapetanija Split.

Your guide will be there to meet you at 11:00am the day of departure. The exact location will be emailed to you a few weeks prior.

Getting to Croatia

Fly to us

The best way to do it is to fly into the small and wonderful Split Airport, also known as Resnik it is a small international airport only has one runway and one terminal, so pretty easy to find your way around. Stoke likes to fly with Easyjet or Vueling, or whoever else is looking the cheapest on Skyscanner.

Bus

There are direct Airport Buses that go to Split Main Bus station they take 30-40 minutes and cost around €4. From there hop in a taxi to the boat.

Taxi

To locate the Taxi rank you leave the arrivals Hall via the main exit and just outside is the queue for the taxis. To get to the city centre it costs around 300 Kuna.

Reviews from Stoke Afloat Croatia Cruise

Stoke Afloat was one of the best weeks of my life. Could not have asked for a better tour leader (Olivia) and crew on the boat. It was great value for the money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Nick Chisholm

Did Stoke Afloat Croatia two weeks ago, was the most fun you could have in a week with the best crew. Live was great. 100% would do again.

Eloise

Awesome week with Stoke Travel and people. Highly recommend especially with unlimited beer and sangria as no other sail company offers this.

Kylie

If you say boat party you say Stoke Pirate Cruise! Never had a better boat party in my life (and I have had many)! Loved it!

Hans

Great party, the best music and amazing people! If I’m still in Europe next summer I’ll definitely get “on board” that again!

Catherine

Waking up in the early afternoon to a cold beer and being able to smash as many as we like that day for just  €10 was just magnificent. The other boats were so envious of us! Best staff in a long time.

Patrick

Some of  the most amazing, loosest maggots on board that I would now consider to be some of my closest friends in the world. Thanks a lot for this great experience.
