Andorra Destination Guide
A little nation sandwiched between France and Spain that not many people know about but everybody should visit. With breathtaking views of each town from the surrounding mountain tops, amusement…
Everything Else
The Andorra Ski Weekender is a good time European ski holiday. We’ll be skiing and partying, maybe relaxing, definitely treating ourselves, and hanging out with a fun, friendly group of fellow adventurers, and après-ski* enthusiasts. From our welcome dinner where the included wine flows freely, to our Christmas sweater party by the fireplace with board games, to the outdoor dance parties on the slopes and at the bottom of the gondola, the vibes here are immaculate for every waking minute. On the mountain you’ll find excitement for first-time skiers and boarders, as well as the experienced, and our après ski party at the bottom of the mountain with “schnappy hour” will help you relax the kinks out of the body and get ready for the night ahead and all the storytelling in the bar. Perfect for solo travellers and groups, and everybody who’s been waiting for the chance to do something unbelievably fun and maybe learn a new skill.
*For the uninitiated, “après-ski”, literally after ski, refers to drinking booze after – and sometimes during – a day on the slopes.

We’ve been working hard on getting the mix of snow sports and partying just right, and we’ve found that the best formula is to have as much fun as is physically possible over the weekend and then pass out on the bus on the way home – content, a little sore, and with a small hangover. Keep reading for a little itinerary of what happens on these trips.
All parties, two banquet dinners with bottomless wine (including New Year’s Eve), NYE club entry in Barcelona, guided tours, ski gear and lift tickets, transport from Barcelona to Andorra and back, heaps of goodies and bottomless good times.
We want to bring back the glamorous age of European alpine travel with our Grand Andorra Après Ski Weekenders. On Friday we’ll meet in downtown Barcelona and get to know our new best friends for the weekend (and beyond!) before throwing our luggage in the private bus and riding the two-or-so hours through Catalunya and the foothills of the Pyrenees into Andorra. Once we get to our hotel there’s time to check into our rooms and maybe even explore the village. We’ll dine together and the wine will flow, and so will the conversation – and make sure you wear your fabulous woollen sweaters, because we’ll end the night in a bar, where it’s known to get wild. Or for those not feeling the bar, some of us can stay behind and play board games in our cozy hotel… It’s too nice!
On Saturday we’re up and head across the road to the gondola, where we will start to explore Pal-Arinsal. Ski hire is included, but snowboarders are welcome too with a tiny surcharge. If you’re a first timer, or a bit out of practice, now’s the time to grab a lesson, otherwise let’s hit the lifts and spend the day whizzing around the slopes. Lunch isn’t included, but at the end of the day we’ll all be meeting at our favourite bar at the bottom of the slopes for a little bit of après-ski fun, where the DJ will be playing bangers, and we can ease out the kinks with some drinks.
Back in the hotel we will have the option to dine as a group, or grab something more intimate if that’s what you feel like. Generally, on Saturday night, people find their ways around our favourite Andorra bars and clubs, because maybe some more wines or some cocktails will be what we feel like.
We’re up bright and early again on the Sunday for one last day of looking wonderful on the mountain before heading back to Barcelona. We’re going to be tired, we’re going to be sore, we might even be a little tired, but we will be relaxed, with a smile from ear to ear, and a whole bunch of new friends.
Traveling from outside of Barcelona, or can’t make the departure times? Then choose to meet us there. Everything apart from the return transport from Barcelona is included in the Meet Us There trip.

Squeezed in between Spain and France high in the Pyrenees, Andorra is usually omitted from most travelers’ itineraries. Well it shouldn’t be! It’s so beautiful your eyes will weep snow flakes, and right next to Barcelona.
That’s right, Andorra is tax free, so drinking, smoking and pornography is cheaper here than in other European countries. Hooray!
We will be skiing and boarding in the glorious Vallnord resort on two main slopes, check out the stats…
Pal-Arinsal: Great for all levels
Ordino-Arcalis: When it’s slush elsewhere, there is still powder here
In front of the Catalonia Hotel on Plaza d’Espanya
Meet at 10 – 10:30am for an 11am departure.
Check GoEuro for the best deals on flights, buses and trains. One thing to remember is that Girona Airport, which sometimes yields the cheapest option, is over an hour by bus from downtown Barcelona, so try to fly into El Prat.
Hotel address and directions will be sent to guests prior to arrival. We stay in the Andorra la Vella area, and transport is provided to the slopes daily (10 min journey).
