Rosé Week 2019 is our chance to get a little bit fancy amongst the vineyards. We’ll be staying in a real chateau near Toulouse, treating ourselves to fine French food, drowning one another in locally produced vins, dressing in white and frolicking through the jardins, playing croquet, dancing on the lawn and just doing everything we can to enjoy our time in France.
The earthly delights of the south of France shouldn’t be reserved only for dukes, duchesses and the jet set. Sometimes regular fun lovers like ourselves deserve to surround ourselves with loveliness and spend a few days soaking up the finer things in life.
Rosé Week is our chance to share the cost of a French chateau with friends and strangers, who are soon to become friends. It’s a chance to indulge in delicious, summery French rosé while surrounded by the vines that produce it – and not feel bad about the indulgence, because the time was right for it. It’s our chance to roleplay as fancy folk for a moment, from our all-white party, to our croquet tournament on the lawn, to sitting in the garden participating in a live drawing session, exploring the surrounding villages and countryside, or simply sleeping in for as long as you’d like.
While the rosé wine takes the naming rights, we’ll be using our time to pay homage to – and indulge in – all things French. From breakfasts of pastries and coffee, cheese platters with the world’s best baguettes, and chef-prepared meals – the French really take pride in their products and gastronomy and we’re going to take advantage of their passion.
We’ll groove on the green listening to smooth French tunes, maybe even dipping into a bit of Parisian electro if the rosé starts to work its magic.
We’ll sit around the table for long lunches getting to know each other and solving the world’s problems. We’ll take long walks through the forest and along country lanes soaking up the south-France ambience.
And we’ll do it all powered by rosé wine.
This is a guide itinerary for your Rosé Week experience. The beauty of staying with Stoke Travel is that you can do whatever you like, whenever you like, your way.
TOUS BIENVENUE, BIENVENUE À TOUS
Today you’ll meet and greet your fellow Rosé Week guests; introduce yourself before going over what’s in store for the next four days.. We’ll have a welcome drink accompanied with French flirting lessons and some poetry which will run until we enjoy our first dinner together.
Accompanied with a typical French breakfast with the finest pastries, breads and jams. In the afternoon sun there will a petanque championship with a rosé or a ricard in hand. In the evening there’s a Saturday night party with French film, music and where all white must be worn at our Blanc Party.
After our morning of french toast making there will be a chance to join in on some live drawing drawing classes in the château gardens. In the afternoon we’re planning on doing a Tour de France to the next village, vineyard to vineyard for a €25 add-on. Or enrol yourself in French Lesson (additional add-on) or the afternoon.
A must do when in France is a wine & cheese dégustation at a nearby French vineyard is an add-on available for your package for €35 . There are some close in the area so we will probably use bikes en route. At the vineyards we’ll get cultural and taste some fine French wine and probably some of the best cheese in the world. Alternatively you can relax at the château and rest up for the final evening festivities.
The end of your trip, but hopefully not the end of your journey with Stoke Travel.
Enter your questions in the Ask a Question Tab and we’ll answer them here… when we get time between partying our pants off and organizing epic tours.
