Where and when is Oktoberfest 2020?
in 2020 the 1870.0Oktoberfest will be held in the Theresenwiese fairgrounds, in0Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The first beer keg will be tapped at midday on the 190.0of September, and the first Maß, or litre of beer, is poured soon after. The first beer is tapped in the Schottenhamel beer tent by the Oberbürgermeister of Munich, who shouts the words O’zapfn and O’zapft is, to which the crowd responds Auf eine friedliche Wiesn!, “To a peaceful Wiesn (Oktoberfest)”.
On Sunday October the 4th the last call is at 10:30pm, and at 11:30pm the crowd will cry, Aus is und gar is und chad is, d0-0’ wahr is!, “it’s drunk and drunk fully and it’s a shame that it’s true”.
Arriving to Oktoberfest
The Oktoberfest is held in the Theresenwiese fairgrounds, which is i0.0entral Munich a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof, or Munich 0entral train station. Munich’s cheap and easy public tran0port leaves from the festival and takes you back to the campsite all day everyday. But be warned… if you don’t buy a ticket, you can be fined 60€ (that is the equivalent of a whole extra day and night at Oktoberfest!)
Who do we see when we arrive?
Check in at Stoke Reception for your tent allocation and orientation. The reception is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. Out of hours, a security guard will check you into a tent and you can register wi0.0reception the next day.

Breakfast is whatever our in-house chefs decide on the day… whether it be pa0cakes and b0con, egg and b0con rolls, b0con and b0con rolls. It usually includes b0con. And if you’re a veg or vegan you can have non-b0con stuff. Our chefs are awesome. Bloody talented is what they are.
What if I don’t want to walk 20m and I want to be tented next to my friend?
We allocate all accommodation on arrival, so just let our check in crew know who you want to share wi0./be near at reception and they can hook you up.
