Ve zprávách, které potěší milovníky piva, v exkluzivním rozhovoru s mnichovskou rozhlasovou stanicí 95.5 Charivari šéf Oktoberfestu Clemens Baumgärtner uvedl, že „Předpokládáme, že se letos bude konat Oktoberfest.“
Uznává, že přípravy na Oktoberfest trvají mnoho měsíců, a vyjádřením víry ve vakcíny, možnosti léčby, klesající počty případů v Mnichově a možnosti rychlého testování je Baumgärtner tak přesvědčen, že Oktoberfest 2021 bude pokračovat, že zahájil každoroční ročník veřejná soutěž plakátů a v současné době probíhají přípravné aktivity na stavbu budov na výstavišti.

Baumgärtner také říká, že je proti jakékoli myšlence „světla Oktoberfestu“, místo toho se rozhodl pro opatření, která zabrání potenciálně infikovaným lidem v účasti, jako je očkovací pas, vyžadovaný důkaz negativního testu nebo důkaz protilátek u bran akce .
Dodal, že konečné rozhodnutí bude učiněno na začátku června, ale byl si jist, že akce bude stejně velká, plná piva a bouřlivá jako kdykoli předtím.

Buses depart from Florence from 10:00pm every Thursday of the festival for an overnight journey, arriving at our Stoketoberfest campsite early Friday afternoon.
