    Barcelona
The America’s Cup in Barcelona 2024

The America’s Cup is coming to Barcelona in 2024 and as Barcelona’s number one party boat operators it makes sense that you come and view the race from the sea with us.

The America’s Cup in Barcelona 2024

Where to watch the America’s Cup in Barcelona

Secure your spot on the sidelines of Barcelona’s sporting event of the year, and watch Team New Zealand go head to head with the UK’s Royal Yacht Squadron. The best place to watch the America’s Cup in Barcelona is in the thick of it, of course, specifically from one of our party boats out on the sea and amongst the action.

The beaches are about to be flooded with spectators and the fanzones erected around the port will come alive with revelry. Sure, you can join the plebs there, but why not opt for this once-in-a-lifetime experience to get up close and personal with this iconic race and view from the literal sidelines of the route? We’ll watch the world’s fastest sailboats from our (admittedly pretty slow) catamaran, setting up along the route for three hours of watching the race pass us by live. For the moments when the race enters our blind spot, we have screens set up playing live coverage and commentary. Both our lower deck standard packages and upper deck VIP packages include open beer, sangria, and cava bar, and our upper deck VIP’s also have a charcuterie and tapas spread to graze on throughout the excitement.

Where to stay for the America’s Cup in Barcelona

Like any city with a major sporting event going on, most accommodation providers are going to be hiking their prices during this busy season when the demand skyrockets. If you’re trying to be savvy, keep the splurging for the beachside clubs after the races, and explore what’s on offer on Hostelworld instead. If Hostel-slumming isn’t for you, or you’re visiting with a large group and would like your own space, the sooner you get your accommodation secured the better, as prices won’t be getting any lower.

When is the America’s Cup in Barcelona

The 37th America’s Cup will be hosted in Barcelona between August and October in 2024. The last time the America’s Cup was held in Spain was in 2007 in Valencia.

    Lots of stuff to do…

    Barcelona, Spain

We’ll be staying in one of the most popular resorts in the Mediterranean, it is just a 20 minute drive from both the airport and Ibiza Town and well located to explore the rest of the island. San Antonio resort has a beautiful palm tree lined promenade following the harbour, which is always busy with a variety of huge yachts and ferries waiting to whisk you off to other idyllic island destinations, like the beaches of Cala Conta, Cala Tarida and Cala Bassa .

The main beach in San Antonio is a man-made, but incredibly beautiful, here you will find utopia of bright blue sea and a wide, white sandy beach.

Ibiza is also famous for its sunsets, and the west side of San Antonio is really popular with people wanting to see this beautiful scene. Places with a view fill up, so get a reservation to claim your spot.

Nightlife in San Antonio is some of the liveliest in Ibiza with a mass of buy one get one free drink offers ,and streets sprinkled with famous bars and clubs (most of which are packed every night from 7pm until the early hours of the morning).

    How to get there

    Come fly to us…

Just about every airline in Europe flies to Ibiza, so it’s not hard to get a cheap flight. Check GoEuro to compare.

Once you arrive at Ibiza airport take the L10 bus from Ponderosa to EIVISSA- Isidor Machabich (the last stop). You then need to catch the L3 from EIVISSA I. Macabich,to Estación Autobuses Sant Antoni at the end of the line. Once you’re booked in you’ll receive the exact address of our venue just tap them into Google Maps.  It takes roughly 1 hour and costs €4 – 6.

If you arrive outside of bus operating times, you can take a taxi which will set you back around €30 (sharing is caring).

    By boat

For last minute transport when flights are expensive check out Trasmediterranea or Balearia for ferries!
