Live your best yachting life with Stoke Afloat Croatia sailing trips. Spend your days cruising the Adriatic Sea along the Dalmatian coast, visiting beautiful, historic port cities like Split and Dubrovnik, party island like Hvar, picture perfect spots like Korcula and its vineyards that run down to the clearest water you’ll ever see. We’ll swim in the Mediterranean Sea, jump off cliffs and submarine bays, enjoy deserted islands and coves, and finishing each day drinking on your boat before hitting the bars and clubs.
Stoke Afloat is the only Croatia sailing trip that has an open beer and sangria bar onboard, saving you the end-of-trip stress of sky-high bar tab bills. Also, being a Stoke Travel trip, we’re guaranteed to have the best fellow travellers as boat mates, and you know that your guide is going to get you in the absolutely best situations possible.
In 2023, starting from June 24th until August 5th, we’ll have boats running every Saturday to Saturday, departing alternatively from Split or Dubrovnik
From €750

Make your own way to Croatia
Young at heart traveller 18+
On beds in cabins shared with your shipmates
A hearty brunch every day
Unlimited beer & sangria
We’ll live the Croatian dream on the Adriatic Sea. During the day we’ll be swimming in crystal clear lagoons, cliff jumping from terror inducing heights, and exploring old fortresses; by night, we’ll hit up the best bars and clubs, including Carpe Diem, DEEP, and Croatia’s biggest club Revelin, before turning around and doing it all over again, returning with blurred memories and perfect tans.
We’ll sleep on a gorgeous ship fully facilitated for fulfilling your sailing fantasies: toilets and showers, onboard chef and fully stocked bar. For just €10 per day you can drink all the beer and sangria that your heart desires, we don’t want to surprise you with an end-of-trip bar tab that’ll make your eyes water.
Croatia boasts ancient walled cities and the highest coastal mountain range in the Mediterranean; historic islands and raging party ports; the best nightclubs in the Balkans and snorkelling; sun baking on the deck or swan diving into the ocean. If it is fun and if it is near water we’ll be doing it on Stoke Afloat Croatia sailing trips.
We will visit vineyards and national parks; Croatia’s craziest clubs. Split, Hvar, Korçula, Mijet, Dubrovnik and some secrets along the way. We’ll participate in watersports and sunbaking and drinking cocktails and not doing much ata ll. Our Wet Wednesday banquet dinner is included and spectacular, with a traditional Croatian meal and a glass of wine in a restaurant so beautiful that you’ll think we don’t deserve it – but we most certainly do.
Don’t worry, the Stoke Crew aren’t going to be the ones sailing the ship, the Croatian family that owns and operates the boat will be in charge of that, with their generations of experience sailing these waters. We’ll have our Stoke Travel guide on board inventing historical facts, encouraging binge drinking and making sure everybody is feeling social and that the boat is one big, happy, floating family. The average number of wenches and scurvy dogs onboard is about 24, and considering that they’ve booked with Stoke Travel you can be assured that they’re going to be just about the funnest, loosest cannons getting around Europe this summer.
Want to see what the boat is like (and we’re talking vibe and the boat itself) then make sure you keep on scrolling down to the gallery.
Our boats are traditional family owned and operated Croatian sailing vessels and no two are the same. Beautiful and seaworthy ships of the same type have been plying the Adriatic and Dalmatian coasts – and further afield into the Mediterranean – for hundreds of years. Now they’ve simply used the traditional designs to build Croatian sailing boats specifically for accommodating, and ferrying, tourists along the Croatian shore. The cabins are comfortable, private and air conditioned, with power outlets so you’re charged up at all times. Our yacht is the MS Maja, a category B traditional Croatian cruiser that sleeps 22 travellers in twin share cabins. All cabins have a bunk bed, with wash basin, towel, soap, linen, power socket & pillows. Air-Con will run in the main saloon and down stairs halls, and there are common bathrooms/toilets onboard for all guests use. Wifi is supplied on Maja along with sun chairs, general power sockets, daily swim stops (of course) and beats will be played daily.
The deck is designed for lying prostrate and praying to the sun gods (and private too – all the better for frying those eggs or giving the impossible-to-tan man’s upper thighs a workout), with the all-important designated shady areas for Scotsmen, albinos and those wanting to swill a beer and trade tales of the high seas. And there are common areas for games and carrying on with the telling of tall tales, or simply pre partying, and a fully stocked bar that’s open for beer and sangria for €10 per day extra.
Lucky sailors on our 4th-11th July Dubrovnik to Split cruise can finish their trip at Croatia’s Ultra music festival. The three-day electronic music festival features the world’s best DJs and producers, with the likes of Pendulum, Afrojack, Steve Aoki and David Guetta forming part of one of the most impressive dance music lineups ever seen. Similarly, if you want to join us on our cruise from Split to Dubrovnik from the 11th-19th of July you can start your Croatian trip with a bang by hitting Ultra. We don’t include tickets to Ultra, but you can book your one day ticket HERE.
*All docking locations and timing is subject to change depending on weather conditions and port availability. If you’ve booked a trip from Dubrovnik to Split, just flip the itinerary upside down.
Check in at 11am, before the first voyage, you will get a welcome drink and a speech about the crew, ship rules and a general rundown of itinerary. The afternoon is yours to explore, whether it be the Diocletian Palace, which is 1700 years old, HNK Hajduk Split Stadium, the famous Marijan hill, from where you can see the whole town and island. Or just relax on your new floating home. A family welcome dinner in a local restaurant with low prices and large portions. The party starts onboard (enjoy that free booze) and moves to Charlie’s Backpacker’s Bar, before continuing to an open air club near the port.
Day 2: Omiš
We leave Split and head to Omis arriving early afternoon with ample time for exploring or adventuring, stopping for a swim along the way. If you’re up for it, the options are endless – ziplining across 8 cables up to 150m up, rafting down the river Cetina, kayaking through the canyon, the list goes on. That evening, we’ll grab some food from the supermarket and hike up to the old fortress for a sunset picnic. Rest up for the big night ahead in Makarska with a few casual cocktails on a rooftop bar before heading to bed.
Day 3: Makarska
We cruise to Makarska, with a swim stop along the way of course. Arriving mid afternoon there is time to throw yourself off some cliff, swim in the bay or even get your junk out at a nudist beach, whatever floats your boat. This night is reserved for partying – what else? – once our bar closes, we will head to a cheap cocktail bar for a boogie before heading to the famous Cave bar.
Day 4: Hvar
We arrive in Hvar for lunchtime, but it’s impossible to go to harbour till about 19:00. The boat will be anchored offshore at a relaxing swim location and we will take a taxi boat into town and head up to the Spanjola fortress for a beautiful view before heading down for some beach time or seaside cocktails. Later that night, we’ll head over to some of the best bars for welcome shots and a fire show, getting warmed up for the all night party at Carpe Diem, the famed techno club based on the island just in front of the harbor.
Day 5: Korcula
We’ll arrive in Korcula harbour around 3pm, giving us enough time to visit the disputed house of Marco Polo and explore old town or chill out on ships sun deck before perhaps heading to Bokar wine bar and taste local Croatian wines and have some cheese/meat/bread nibbles. We will head to our local croatian Peka dinner, after we will go to the best open-air night club Korcula has to offer!
Day 6: National Park Mljet
Early departure to one of the seven National parks in Croatia, the island of Mljet, with a swim stop along the way. We’ll take an afternoon to stroll along the lakes on the island, kayak, swim in the salt water lakes or even hire a scooter and venture to a hidden cave and grotto. Later we’ll drop the anchor offshore, have dinner on board and kick start our Pirate party! Tonight the party doesn’t stop until the last man goes to bed, blast that music, drink the bar dry and even jump in for a skinny dip!
Day 7: Dubrovnik Pearl of the Adriatic
Arrive in Dubrovnik around lunch time, so that you have all day to explore the old town and jump from the famous cliffs outside of the old city walls. The afternoon is your own, walk around the old town city walls or take a Game of Thrones tour. A farewell dinner with your new family at an awesome Mexican restaurant tonight and then go on to what is famed as one of the best disco bars in Croatia, the Culture Club, Revelin, situated in a fortress in the walls of old town.
Day 8: Dubrovnik
It’s an early breakfast, and then unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye until our next grand voyage together. You’ll disembark at 8:30am.
Sad, but happy, but also sad.
Two options: Split to Dubrovnik or Dubrovnik to Split. Our routes around the Adriatic depend on the weather and we go where the wind blows!
Meeting point:
Your guide will be there to meet you at 11:00am the day of departure. The exact location will be emailed to you a few weeks prior.
Fly to us
The best way to do it is to fly into the small and wonderful Split Airport, also known as Resnik it is a small international airport only has one runway and one terminal, so pretty easy to find your way around. Stoke likes to fly with Easyjet or Vueling, or whoever else is looking the cheapest on Skyscanner.
If your cruise is going in the other direction, Dubrovnik also has an airport that is easy to navigate and cheap to fly into.
Bus
There are direct Airport Buses that go to Split Main Bus station they take 30-40 minutes and cost around €4. From there hop in a taxi to the boat.
Or buses from Split to Dubrovnikw https://getbybus.com/
Or buses from Dubrovnik airport to the bus station (which is close to the port) https://www.arriva.com.hr/en-us/dubrovnik-airport
Taxi
To locate the Taxi rank you leave the arrivals Hall via the main exit and just outside is the queue for the taxis. To get to the city centre it costs around 300 Kuna.

Stoke Afloat was one of the best weeks of my life. Could not have asked for a better tour leader (Olivia) and crew on the boat. It was great value for the money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Did Stoke Afloat Croatia two weeks ago, was the most fun you could have in a week with the best crew. Live was great. 100% would do again.
Awesome week with Stoke Travel and people. Highly recommend especially with unlimited beer and sangria as no other sail company offers this.
If you say boat party you say Stoke Pirate Cruise! Never had a better boat party in my life (and I have had many)! Loved it!
Great party, the best music and amazing people! If I’m still in Europe next summer I’ll definitely get “on board” that again!
Waking up in the early afternoon to a cold beer and being able to smash as many as we like that day for just €10 was just magnificent. The other boats were so envious of us! Best staff in a long time.
Some of the most amazing, loosest maggots on board that I would now consider to be some of my closest friends in the world. Thanks a lot for this great experience.
