Europe in the spring is breathtaking. Nature is coming back to life, there’s love in hopeless places, people are happier than ever, and the world is inspiring. There’s so much so see and admire here. This vast continent has a little something for everyone – great architecture, abundant vegetation, delicious food, and romantic attractions that will get you on your way to creating the most unforgettable memories.
Plan your journey in advance and explore these 7 amazing cities:
There’s a wide variety of leisure and cultural fun to be had in Amsterdam, ranging from captivating old buildings like Oude Kerk to eccentric museums such as Hash Marihuana. Amsterdam is famous for its cultural hotspots, parks, and of course, its red light district where love comes at a price. Among some of the best museums are: Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museums, and Rijksmuseum. In total, Amsterdam has over fifty galleries that fascinate its tourists each year.
Many people know Paris as “The City of Lights”. Famous for its art, history and diverse culture, this beautiful metropolis is exquisite no matter what time of year you plan on visiting. Paris is full of attractions, art galleries, museums and fun things to do. One of the most complex art galleries is the Louvre Museum, a place of cultural diversity and exceptional art. The Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre-Coeur, are other places of interest that will take your breath away. Paris’s most iconic attraction is the Eiffel Tower, a symbol of astounding architecture and the city’s major landmark. It offers a spectacular view of the city, and it’s a great place for couples to enjoy some romance and take a self-indulgent selfie to post on Facey. If you’re traveling with the kids, or if you’re a big kid, you should definitely check out Disneyland Paris as well.
Located in the eastern Pyrenees between France and Spain, Andorra is a small country, which offers a wealth of beautiful places to visit. The capital, Andorra la Vella, is the central attraction; a pretty little town which should be explored on foot to be truly appreciated. It has a lively main street with many restaurants and boutique shops. There are also numerous medieval churches that will help you dig deeper into its customs and traditions. Oh yeah, and its one of the most popular skiing/snowboarding spots in Europe, due to the uncrowded, awesome slopes and the fact that it’s a tax free country. Andorra la Vella has attractions ideals for you.
Barcelona is a charming seaside city with a dynamic style and a Mediterranean climate. Beautiful scenery, stunning architecture and many cultural attractions make it an attractive travel destination. Barcelona has a distinctive medieval area, known as the Barri Gotic, with a mystic Old World atmosphere and strings of cobblestone streets to explore; however, the stunning metropolis is more famed for its minimalist design. La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are worth a visit and you can also amble down La Rambla taking in the street art and activity. If you want a more local feel, head to Gracia area for some tapas and sangria and to bask on a terrace.
Russia has a lot to offer in terms of culture and diversity. Travel up the slopes of the mountains covered with glaciers and walk along the shore of the Earth’s oldest lake, The Baikal, to enjoy the Russian outdoors. The cultural activities and historical sites are numerous in Russia’s most important cities – Moscow and St. Petersburg, among others. A trip to this culturally diversified nation can be a memorable experience. Make sure to include the following into your itinerary as well: The Kremlin, Red Square, and St. Basil’s Cathedral.
Norway is a perfect holiday destination for its attractive cities, superb landscapes and wide range of activities. The country’s fjords – Geirangefjords and Sognefjord – cannot be missed. Make sure to explore Norway’s beautiful seas, rugged trails, narrow rivers, national parks, high mountains, and breathtaking landscapes, to get a feel of this country’s all-natural beauty. Norway is a travel destination that gives you all. Its lovely climate in the spring attracts tourists worldwide. Among some of its best attractions we should mention the Urnes Stave Church, Nidaros Cathedral and Heddal Stave Church.
